2. What Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide our services safely and effectively.

Information you provide directly

  • Name, email address, organization, and role (for account setup, certification, or billing)

  • Payment details (processed securely via Stripe — Myla never stores credit-card numbers)

  • Training progress, quiz results, and completion certificates

  • Messages you send us (support requests, feedback, surveys)

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, and device information (for analytics and security)

  • Pages visited, date/time, and referring URLs

  • Cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences

We do not collect patient or clinical data. Our training platform is designed for professionals, not patients.

3. Why We Collect It

We collect and use your personal information to:

  • Create and manage your training account

  • Deliver courses, certificates, and related services

  • Process payments and renewals

  • Communicate about training, new courses, or support requests

  • Improve our content and website experience

  • Meet legal and accounting obligations

We rely on your consent and on legitimate business interests (such as fulfilling a service you’ve requested) as the legal bases for processing.

4. How We Protect Your Information

Because we specialize in cybersecurity, we take data protection seriously:

  • Data is stored securely on Canadian cloud servers with encryption in transit and at rest.

  • Access is limited to authorized personnel only.

  • Strong authentication, routine patching, and regular security audits are standard practice.

  • Our payment provider (Stripe) complies with PCI-DSS security standards.

  • We maintain a Data Breach Response Plan. If a breach involving your data ever occurs, we’ll notify you and any required authorities as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Where We Store and Share Information

We store your data in Canada whenever possible. Some of our trusted service providers may process information in other countries.

For example, we use Stripe to securely process payments, and Stripe may handle certain transaction details (such as your name, email, and payment method) on servers located in the United States or other jurisdictions. Stripe complies with international privacy and security standards and maintains PCI-DSS certification.

All of our service providers are bound by confidentiality and security agreements.
When your personal information is transferred outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of that foreign jurisdiction (for example, lawful access by U.S. authorities).

We carefully vet every vendor to ensure your information remains protected to standards equal to or greater than those required by Canadian law.

We do not sell, rent, or exchange your personal information with anyone.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal data only as long as needed for:

  • Active accounts and ongoing training access

  • Business, tax, or legal recordkeeping obligations

  • Recordkeeping of issued training certificates (normally up to 7 years)

When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information

  • Correct any inaccuracies

  • Withdraw consent (where applicable)

  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@myla.training.
We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies and Analytics

Cookies help us keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand which training content works best.

You can adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies, though some features may not work properly.

That means we will only send you commercial or promotional emails if:

  • You’ve given explicit consent (opt-in), or

  • You have an existing business relationship with Myla Training Corp.

Every marketing email we send includes a simple unsubscribe link.
You can withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
